Based on observations of workshops led by former The Forsythe Company dancers Shimaji Yasutake and Amancio Gonzalez, this study presents three significant findings.\n The research uncovers two key aspects of Forsythe’s improvisation that have received limited attention: the concept of “framing” and physical techniques as improvisational tools. It also reveals how Amancio’s ballet instruction, centered on the “9-points” system and spatial awareness, creates a pathway to Forsythe’s improvisational approach. Furthermore, the study demonstrates how these workshops’ emphasis on relaxation helps dancers move beyond the self-monitoring patterns inherent in traditional ballet training.\n The workshop format proves essential to this process, its temporary nature and diverse participation fostering an environment where dancers can break free from disciplinary constraints. This study illuminates the interconnected relationship between ballet training, workshop practice, and improvisation in Forsythe’s methodology, advancing our understanding of his contribution to contemporary dance.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_30002_file35":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2025-03-31"}],"filename":"nichijo_stc_kiyo28-03.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"948 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://jwcpe.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000118/files/nichijo_stc_kiyo28-03.pdf"},"version_id":"65076e22-3e65-4b8c-9cf7-c55fdf936f35"}]},"item_30002_identifier_registration17":{"attribute_name":"identifier_registration","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.34349/0002000118","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_30002_publisher10":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"日本女子体育大学スポーツトレーニングセンター","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_30002_resource_type13":{"attribute_name":"item_30002_resource_type13","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_30002_source_identifier22":{"attribute_name":"収録物識別子","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12732635","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_30002_subject8":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"William Forsythe","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Improvisation","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Workshop","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Contemporary Dance","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_30002_title0":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"ワークショップからみるフォーサイスの即興","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Exploring William Forsythe’s Improvisation Techniques through Workshop Practices","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_title":"ワークショップからみるフォーサイスの即興","item_type_id":"40037","owner":"4","path":["1742520540719"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2025-03-31"},"publish_date":"2025-03-31","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000118","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["ワークショップからみるフォーサイスの即興"],"weko_creator_id":"4","weko_shared_id":2},"updated":"2025-03-21T06:53:53.984216+00:00"}
