We set up an electronic bulletin board called ‘sakubun.org’ which has ‘3 steps and 5 rules’, as a public sphere for an educational purpose. The analysis of the written communication on this electronic bulletin board revealed that 1) the participants communicate using their own experiences as resources, 2) the discussion can develop from personal experiences into further discussions, and 3) a fellow feeling for other members emerges by exchanging opinions.
