They were students of the Health and Welfare Course at Nikaido High School attached to Japan Women's College of Physical Education (JWCPE). Their special subject was childcare nursing. They had practical nursing training at Midori kindergarten which is attached to JWCPE. This paper reports on what processes they used to improve themselves in the practice of nursing training. The study duration took three years, from 2011 through July, 2013. The students' records of reflection in practical training were used as survey instruments. The result showed the significant collaboration under the common educational philosophy implemented among these institutions. The mutual relationships among environment, human beings, things, and time had great effects on the students' development in practical training. The students' reflection underwent an expansion into various meaningful stages: observation of the children, noticing, recognition, sympathy, accompanying and nestling the children, nurture in which children are treated with respect, the philosophy claiming that children are free, and self-improvement in nurture. This study suggested that the recording with reflection achieved a positive effect on nursing
