Both were designed in 2010, under the direction of the 2008 guidelines from the Central Education Council. The two were also launched in response to a growing concern the professors held about the widening gap of scholastic abilities amongst the students.\nWhat was mainly observed in the FSAT (2011-2015) was the low level of mathematical skills and the decline in general knowledge on society. The FS (2013-2015) showed that many freshmen find mathematical calculation difficult and have high anxiety towards the studies that start at the college ; it also revealed that there was the substantial lack of hours they had spent in learning and reading at high-school.
