| 内容記述 | マーサ・グラハムは20世紀を代表するモダンダンスの舞踊家でありこのモダンダンスを推進した振付家である．グラハム・テクニックで重要なことは「コントラクション＆リリース」という２つの動きのベクトルがアラインメントによって基礎づけられていることで，この作用・反作用の関係を用いてテクニックは成立している．本論功では時代の違う彼女の４作品を通じて，ダンシングするというよりも表現媒体としてのグラハム・テクニックの作品の中での使われ方の変遷を辿る．素朴な「内容」とシンプルなテクニックを用いた「形式」が一致している『ラメンテーション』，「内容」がシンプルだったことで完成しつつある「形式」が表に出てくる『アパラチアの春』，しっかりしたテキスト性がある「内容」と完成した「形式」とが一致する古典主義的なモダンダンスを代表する作品である『夜の旅』，さらにそこから「形式」がひとり歩きし，モダンダンスを突き抜けてポスト・モダンダンス（抽象的）まで行き着く『アクツ・オブ・ライト』と，時代の変化と共にグラハム・テクニックの作品での在り方が変わっている．グラハムは「内面」を視覚化するためにグラハム・テクニックという「形式」を作ったが，最終的にはその「形式」が作品の「内容」そのものとなるフォルマリズムを迎える．この４作品を辿って，グラハム作品におけるヘーゲルのいう表現「内容」とテクニックとしての「形式」の関係を確認する． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | Martha Graham was a leading modern dancer of the 20th century and a choreographer who promoted modern dance. The Graham technique is important in that the two movement vectors of contraction and release are based on alignment, and the technique is established using this relationship of action and reaction. In this article, we will look at four of her works from different eras and trace the evolution of the use of the Graham technique as an expressive medium rather than dance. “Lamentation” shows that the simple content matches the form using simple techniques, “Appalachian Spring” presents its form prominently due to simple content, “Night Journey” is the work that represents classicist modern dance, where the content with a solid text matches the completed form, and “Acts of Light” transcends modern dance and reaches post－modern (abstract) dance. The state of Graham’s work changes with the changing times. Graham created a form called the Graham technique to visualize the inner side, but eventually, she reached formalism, where the form became the content of the work itself. We will trace also the relationship of Hegel’s concept of expression and content in Graham’s works history. | |||||||||
